You’d think putting a Mass on the license plate frame would cause stability issues on a motorbike

If you’re going to make a joke, you could at least make it a good one.

Better than putting a Road Island on it.

Hey you see what you want to see. Might be less offensive than truck nuts.

Road island, we call them Traffic Islands here.

I didn’t know there was a name for those. The pun revolved around the great state of Rhode Island.
Which looks about as large as a traffic island when compared to the rest of the country.

I had a Kawasaki H3 2-stroke triple that was a monster in a straight line but could not turn to save my life. I figured they did not learn about turning until the late 70
's. But I bet yours
handles fine.

I don’t have a frame of reference as this is the only motorcycle I’ve ridden, but it basically feels like a really heavy bicycle

Based on my one experience, don’t get an early 70s bike with way too much horsepower. Maybe the frames from that era were fine with reasonable
HP
.

The plan is to find some 80's twin of some sort next.

An 80's 4-stroke twin would be a sensible upgrade. 70's 2-stroke triples are insane.

Didn’t get to actually take it out. Had a full day and the RMV naturally ate up more time than I had budgeted.

So, pretty much any DMV then!

Nah, this ended up being more of a production than usual. The service was actually very prompt, since our RMV has rehopened as appointment-only. I was misinformed by the insurance company about what I’d need. They said I could re-use the title application from my first attempt back in March, when the RMV closed indefinitely on the very day I’d set aside to do this. A fter having to schedule this appointment two weeks out, I found out that no, I needed a current-dated form. The clerk told me if I could get back within half an hour I wouldn’t have to make a new appointment, so it was a mad dash home while on the phone with Progressive having a new one emailed to me so I could print it and return to the RMV on time.
